Porkette Sliced Baked with Apples
Ingredients
6 medium cooking apples, peeled and cut in thin slices
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons hot water
6 slices Freirich Porkette,1/2 inch thick, uncooked
Directions
Peel 6 medium cooking apples and cut in thin slices. Place in buttered baking dish and sprinkle with 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add 2 tablespoons hot water. Place 6 (1/2 inch thick) uncooked Porkette slices on top of apples, and bake in a moderately hot oven (375°) for 1 hour or until apples are tender and Porkette slices are browned. Makes 6 servings.
