Boiled Porkette

1 Freirich Porkette
Your favorite spices or seasonings
Directions
When cooking your Freirich Porkette, be careful not to boil steadily, instead simmer gently. Simmering will protect flavor and tenderness. Place Porkette in a deep kettle. Cover with cold water, cover and bring water rapidly to boiling, then lower heat and simmer gently. Allow to simmer 45 minutes per pound. Spice it Up! Add directly to cooking water: 1 tablespoon whole cloves, 1 tablespoon whole black peppers, 2 bay leaves, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 1/2 cup brown sugar.
